Image Dr. Peter Petroff grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He received a bachelor's degree from DePaul University and his physician's degree from the University of Illinois. After completing his internship at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco he returned to the Midwest to do his medical residency and pulmonary fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Dr. Petroff served for three years during the Vietnam Warr at the Burn Unit at Fort Sam Houston. In part because of that experience, he will always have a great respect for the men and women who have served and died for our country.

Dr. Petroff then entered the private practice of medicine in both pulmonary care and internal medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and American College of Chest Physicians and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease. He has been at the Santa Rosa Towers for the past 12 years; he and his partner have just signed another three-year lease with Lillibridge - with whom they have had a very profound and beneficial relationship.

He is also Clinical Professor in the Allied Health Sciences at Texas State University in San Marcos and lectures at St. Phillips College.

In addition to medicine, Dr. Petroff and his wife, Rose, have encouraged piano performance among students from elementary school through college, by sponsoring student competitions through their foundation - the Rose Petroff Foundation. Next March will mark the 14th annual competition.
